I have worked with Amanda on many, many high profile events - BAFTA, London Fashion Week, press launches and junkets and she is always 100% reliable to do an amazing job in any situation. She is quick thinking, quick to react and quick witted - all of which are vital when working in a high octane environment.

No matter what I asked of Amanda, no matter how famous the celebrity or dazzling the occasion, I knew she would take it all in her stride with a smile. She is the perfect ambassador for her craft.

She was constantly asked for her advice and tips to appear in magazines such as Glamour, Instyle, Marie Claire, Cosmo and Brides and her work has featured in UK Vogue. The thing with Amanda is that she totally, genuinely and passionately loves make up and she never fails to inspire when asked for her thoughts on the subject. Her enthusiasm is infectious which was a great asset when we did desk visits to beauty editors to launch new products to the press.

In my job as Course Director for BA ( Hons) Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins College,
I have worked with Amanda Bell on both fashion shows and studio photography.

She is both extremely creative in her approach to her work and totally professional. Whether she is working on her own for a photo shoot or leading a team for a catwalk show, she works swiftly and with impressive cool. The Central Saint Martins Press Fashion Show (which presents the collections of graduates to the world’s press and fashion industry) is extremely complex, the atmosphere is electric and back stage organisation of the highest order is paramount. Amanda copes with any situation such as models arriving late or quick changes with good humour and calm efficiency. Before each show, I worked with Amanda to define three or four different “looks” to compliment the student’s work and she was really inventive in suggesting new directions and had an incredible knowledge of products and how the achieve the best results whether the” look” was edgy or a reworked classic. In photo shoots for projects she brings the same positive attitude and creative aesthetic to devising strong looks which complete the student’s designs. I love working with her!

I have had a lot of experience with makeup artists but Amanda really is unique. Not only are her application skills exceptional she has this innate ability to capture exactly the look that you want to achieve. Her confidence is apparent in every brushstroke and gesture and I always feel totally at ease in her care. Although I’d quite like to keep Amanda as my personal little secret, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, and have done on many occasion, to anyone who wants an absolute high-end makeup experience. I have very high standards and am very particular where my makeup is concerned but I would happily have Amanda do my makeup every day! I always look and feel amazing after our time together
